About the BHA

Who are we?

Brussels Hotels (+Aparthotels) Association

The BHA is the representative organisation of the Brussels hotel sector. It represents all hotels and aparthotels, whether affiliated with a hotel chain or independent, without distinction of size or category.

In 2008, the Brussels hoteliers, aware of the specificity of their sector and its challenges, chose to group together autonomously and independently by forming the Brussels Hotels Association asbl/vzw, in short BHA.

Today, with more than 17,500 rooms, 7 million overnight stays per year, and 12,000 jobs, the BHA represents more than 90% of Brussels’ hotels.

Mission
The BHA brings together, informs, and defends the hoteliers of the Brussels Region and its periphery, thus creating the conditions for their success, while promoting the influence and growth of the hotel industry and tourism.
Objectives
To achieve this mission, the BHA advocates, among other things, a strong "Brussels" brand through ambitious city marketing, the development of tourist infrastructures, a focus on the "customer" experience at every stage of the journey, sustainable tourism, tourist mobility in the city and in the suburbs, effective training, a state-of-the-art tourism and congress bureau and fair competition in the sector.
